The pictures in this gallery are at least 75% AI generated, though I have retouched and revised all of them by hand.
These AI creations do not bear my signature. Instead they were given a stamp reading AIAIO (think Old MacDonald) because I didn't want to misrepresent them. The AIAIO stamp also appears on a few pieces outside this section in which the AI content is minimal.
All of the pieces here were created quite early during the AI revolution. I no longer use the AIAIO stamp because the line between AI and traditional media is now so blurred as to be almost irrelevant. Also, I have begun to regard it as a sort of disclaimer—a scarlet letter, let’s say—intended to indicate something tainted or shameful. I am not ashamed of any of it.
Does AI make real art? No, but neither does a camera—and nobody questions the validity of photography as an art form. But almost anything can be art, if a true artist is doing the driving. I believe I qualify, though I still have problems with parallel parking.
