Originally I had intended to paint a full figure, but I thought I would try a portrait this time. I love the young lady's enigmatic expression and intelligent, piercing eyes. Have you noticed that women who appear intelligent automatically gain an extra helping of beauty?
In reality, Little Red was a blonde; but I needed a redhead for my color scheme. It is very pleasant to belong to profession in which you can freely mold reality to suit your needs.
