The White Bikini
Apart from the bikini, there is nothing conservative or modest here.
For several hours I worked on a very traditional portrait of the model pictured. It wasn't bad; but it was boring, which is a good deal worse than bad.
Finally I took off the gloves (metaphorically speaking) and attacked the digital canvas as though I had a grudge against it. My strokes were broad and crude; my colors were wildly unnatural and expressionistic. The results were interesting.
The red areas do not represent sunburn: This lady has been in the studio all day.
