Can These Bones Live? Katrina Series
This is a simple montage of photos, taken by me, of the devastation caused to New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina. Many were taken in the lower 9th Ward, which was effectively obliterated by the resultant flooding.
The question "Can these bones live?" was painted on a sign outside a gutted 9th Ward church, and YES was the implied answer. I was impressed by the painter's attitude of unwavering faith and defiance.
