Muriel in Red, Blue and Yellow
There’s a bit of green and orange, too.
This painting was inspired by the same photo shoot that led to my picture “The Open Shirt.” Here again is Muriel in the same white shirt—but whereas I painted the earlier picture in muted hues, the emphasis here is on vivid primary colors.
Muriel wanted to be headless, so that’s how she is. But you will find her face around here elsewhere, if you look—and she has the most remarkable hair!
