This picture marks the stellar debut of the beautiful Sarah, who appeared out of nowhere to become one of my most interesting models. She has the most remarkable head of hair! But we will save it for pictures yet to come.
This is one of those pictures that tells us almost nothing while suggesting a wealth of possibilities. Her thoughtful face, turned head and wide eyes are alert to...what? And what are her emotions? Her face reveals nothing but careful concentration.
Nor does the style of the picture provide any clues about the mood. At first glance, we notice the brooding Baroque shadows; but these are filled with Easter egg hues (blue, purple, orange, turquoise) that diminish any sense of gloominess.
