Here's a piece that recalls my days as a children's illustrator. This little sauropod is only eighteen feet tall, but he will grow: Scientists conjecture that similar creatures, when grown to adulthood, might actually have been able to produce a sonic boom simply by rapidly whipping their enormous tails.

It's just as well that he's too young for such stunts: It's nighttime, and it wouldn't be wise to interrupt the beauty sleep of some cranky allosaurus.

This little fellow prints on archival watercolor paper.
